Project 12

project 12 banner

Project 12 was dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Petre Otskheli, one of the founders of Georgian Modernism. It was the final part of a larger series of events celebrating his legacy.

The project reimagined Otskheli’s works through digital art, neon, video art, animation, 3D art, and sculpture, giving them a new look and meaning for today’s audience.

Its main goal was to revive and reinterpret Otskheli’s ideas and artistic forms, showing how his avant-garde vision can inspire modern creativity.

The project encouraged young artists to create new works based on Otskheli’s heritage and asked important questions:

-How can we create new forms inspired by the past?

-How can we reconnect with our artistic history?

-How can the story of the avant-garde be told through modern technology?

Each artist gave their own answer to these questions, combining history, technology, and culture in their works.

The presentation took place at 1 Galaktion Tabidze Street, Freedom Square. Music by: Gacha Bakradze; Zurkin
