On February 5, the exhibition “Tbilisi in Magnum Photo Books” and the presentation of the book “Martin Parr Tbilisi” were held at TBC Gallery.
The exhibition presented about 35 photos taken in Tbilisi by Magnum Photo members: Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Carl de Kayser, Giorgi Pinkhasov, Ing Morat, Jonas Bendiksen, Paolo Pellegrini, Thomas Dvorak and Martin Parr.
The book “Martin Parr Tbilisi” combines photographs taken by Martin Parr during his travels in Tbilisi and the text of Aka Morchiladze.
The project was implemented by the Tbilisi City Hall, with the support of TBC, within the framework of the Georgia Guest of Honor program at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The event was supported by the Georgian National Book Center, the Association of Book Publishers and Distributors of Georgia and the Georgian National Tourism Administration.
